Hurray, the Olympics 2008 in Beijing have already started. To my mind, the opening was pompous and stunning, but to tell the truth, sometimes I found myself thinking about supper instead of watching (sorry!!!) The situation changed when I saw USA team in their Ralph Lauren designed outfits. According to the designer the idea was to create “something simple enough for the athletes to put together, yet stylish enough to elevate us as a country” and I think, he succeeded. BUT:
- the collection seems to be a completely man-like. I mean, it was almost impossible to discern men from women. They could wear some skirts or scarves. Don’t you think so?
- it seems to be more appropriate for ordinary tourists that for sportsmen.
What do you think: hit or miss???

Well, fall-winter 2008 season is finally here and it is no use to wait, I’ll better make a list of the hottest shoes for this season. Just one more point before viewing, don’t even look for romantic lady-like shoes, you have to enjoy bright, colourful, aggressive, provocative shoe-boots, geometric shapes and lavish embellishments.
- Suede peep-toe sandals. Miu Miu
Suede seems to be one of the hottest material of this season. Love the lines.
- Stilettos. Alessandro Dell’Acqua
Wow, the combination is great. Sexy vampire-like shoes-booties.
Great shoes for art deco style lovers.
Love their lacquered cone heels and rich gold colour.
- Patent leather boots with buckles. Sergio Rossi
Toes become a bit more pointed, like an almond. The following sandals-boots are something all trendy girl need this autumn!
Which shoes do you like the most???
Good designer attires with bad shoes would make you look simply awful. So I have brought some superb designer shoes for autumn 2008.
First is a deadly combination of snakeskin design sandal with red heels and chopped front portion.
Next is designer office wear pointed shoe type sandal again with a red heel. The chucked rectangle design makes it look trendier.
And look at these blue, black and wine-red colored sexy sandals. Aren’t they glamorous?
This is another stylish, elegant sandal in black with a bow on the top.
And all you pink loving ladies this is just for you sandals in special pink color.
These are lovely scarlet colored shoes with chopped front.
And these are my favorite printed design sandals with bead tying.
It goes without saying, that Brazilian Fashion Week has nothing in common with the Paris one. But, it doesn’t mean, that we mustn’t cover it at all, yeah? Want to know why? At least, because I really love Gisele Bundchen and then I suppose, this coverage is the smallest favour I can do for them. It’s not much, yeah? Especially when the show was that nice.
Unfortunately, my beloved Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen was absent ((( but young designers didn’t fail, they tried their best and showed us really hot collections. The spring/summer 2009 collection was devoted to the theme of recycling, Rio Fashion Week offered a fresh new outlook to fashion. Main motto: “Rethink, Recycle, Renew”. The event will end June 13th.
The first designer to enjoy is Maria Bonita Extra with her lovely elegant silhouettes, flowers and hats. Charming )))
Now it’s time for Mara-Mac fashion show and their Grecian Goddesses and emphasizes of beautiful women body. Love the belts and white colours )))
Teca from Brazillian fashion spring/summer 2008/2009. Love their simple and elegant style )))

Finally, Salinas swimwear impressed me. So easy, so bright and so nice )))

Dears, today I would like to share with you this awful news. Yves Saint Laurent, one of the most influential designers of the 20th century and a real fashion icon, died Sunday evening in Paris at the age of 71.

We will always remember him as one of the best designers of the epoch and as a person capable of:
- changing the way we dress
- letting us wearing pants day and night
- putting us into peacoats and safari jackets and leopard prints
- showing us trench-coats …
Thanks, we will always remember you!!!
